The Associated Press

CONCORD — A Massachusetts man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for assisting in the transportation of a 15-year-old girl to New Hampshire to engage in prostitution.

Hansel German of Boston was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Concord. He pleaded guilty last year.

In 2014, investigators and local police came to the aid of the girl, found in a Salem, N.H., hotel room. They said German was involved in a scheme to take her from Boston to Salem.

German also was sentenced on a heroin possession charge.
