Man sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after robbing 3 NH banks

CONCORD — A bank robber has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after committing three robberies and attempting a fourth.

Court documents said that Michael Giles, 41, was found guilty of robbing a TD Bank branch at 70 Bay St., Manchester, on Nov. 23.

Giles also robbed was a TD Bank branch at 1255 S. Willow St., Manchester, on Nov. 27.

Police arrested him that day near the bank shortly after the robbery when his motor scooter failed to start.

After an investigation, officers linked Giles to the robbery of a Citizens Bank at 1283 Hooksett Road, Hooksett, and the Jan. 22, 2016, attempted robbery of the Citizens Bank at 1550 Elm St., Manchester.

The bank's surveillance cameras identified Giles as the suspected robber.
