Man rescued after falling 25 feet at Livermore Falls

CAMPTON - A man in his early 20s fell 25 feet onto a pile rocks at Livermore Falls Saturday afternoon, sustaining serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

According to Lieutenant Josh Fitz, of Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue, the man was walking down a path with a group of friends when he looked over the side of the cliff, slipped and fell.

The rocks he landed on beside the river were hard to access, so responders had to set up a boat system to rescue him.

His identity has not been released.
