A Portsmouth man has pleaded guilty to selling the drugs that killed a woman in October 2014.

Benjamin Rogers, 31, pleaded guilty to distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death Thursday.

Cassie Clermont, 30, was found dead in her Portsmouth home on October 18, 2014, as a result of acute fentanyl intoxication.

More than half of drug overdose deaths in New Hampshire are a result of fentanyl, officials said.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for September 19, 2016.
