Lynwood L. Carter, 83 of Dover, died after his Ford Fusion was hit by a Ford F150 last year. His passenger, Sally S. Carter, was airlifted to Maine Medical Center where she was in critical condition until she later passed away, police said.

The driver of the pickup that hit the Carter's was identified as Christopher Riley, 21 of Abington, Mass.

Police say the pickup truck driven by Riley had been traveling east on Route 11 when it crossed over into the westbound lane and into the path of the Carter's Fusion.
