Man in Salem prostitution case involving a minor sentenced to up to 5 years

CONCORD- A Mass. man was sentenced on Wednesday in the United States District Court for the District of N.H. after being arrested in August for involvement in the prostitution of a minor.

Enoc Ayuso, 26, of Dorchester, Mass. was sentenced on one count of conspiring to transport a minor in interstate commerce for prostitution.

Ayuso will be charged with a maximum 5 year imprisonment, followed by a period of supervised release.

In February of 2014, Homeland Security Investigations, Manchester, Salem and Boston police departments rescued a minor who was being prostituted in a Salem hotel room. Ayuso was identified in the involvement of transporting this minor from Boston to Salem, after further investigation.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Nick Abramson and Helen Fitzgibbon
