Man from the Dominican Republic arrested after falsifying identity to get NH license

SALEM — A man from the Dominican Republic was arrested after attempting to get a New Hampshire driver's license with a false identity.

Santo Marte Tejeda, 39, was arrested Friday after an investigation by State Police, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as well as the New Hampshire Division of Motor vehicles.

Tejeda was attempting to transfer a Massachusetts driver's license with the name Emmanuel Santiago Molina, claiming that was him.

He was charged with prohibitions of a driver’s license, tampering with public records and unsworn falsification.

Tejeda refused bail and is being held in the Rockingham County House of Corrections. He will be arraigned in the Salem District Court on Oct. 11.
