Man found dead in makeshift shelter after fire in Keene
KEENE - New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan along with the Keene fire and police departments are investigating the death of a man who died in a make-shift shelter.
Firefighters responded to a call in a wooded area behind West Street at about 9:30 Wednesday morning. Upon arrival they found the shelter destroyed by fire with a deceased male inside. It appears the fire started in a burn-barrel and spread to the rest of the shelter.
An autopsy is scheduled Thursday.
