Man forced out of apartment with tear gas ID'd after SWAT standoff in Manchester

MANCHESTER — The man who police say was responsible for a SWAT standoff yesterday in Manchester has been identified.

Patrick Clark, 35, made threats to the building manager and first responders an apartment at 24 Krakow Ave., police said.

Clark's mother had asked the property manger to do a wellness check on her son, who then thought he may have been under the influence of drugs, police said. The manager then contacted Manchester Fire Department.

A SWAT team arrived on scene with a bearcat and made contact with Clark. He continued to make threats as law enforcement tried to get him out of his apartment, police said, but Clark eventually left the building after tear gas was used.

Clark was charged with two counts of criminal threatening and resisting arrest/detention.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
