Man fires muzzleloader in Laconia neighborhood, charged with reckless conduct

LACONIA - A Warren Street man has been charged with reckless conduct after police say he fired off a muzzleloader behind his home on Saturday night.

Police say they got a call from neighbors who reported hearing a gunshot. When police contacted Patrick Manley at 44 Warren St., they learned he'd fired his muzzleloader into the ground behind his home while under the influence of alcohol. The shot was fired close to several other homes in the neighborhood so police took him into custody and charged him.

He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 14 in the Laconia District Court.
