Man faces possible life in prison for lethal drug dose sold to Rochester man


DOVER — A man charged with selling a fatal dose of Fentanly to a Rochester man is being held without bail and could be in prison for life.

Ryan Kirk, 27, sold the drug to Adam Rainaud, who was found unresponsive inside at unit at Northgate Apartments in Rochester on June 24.

"In this particular case, there is an individual who died in Strafford County, and working with the Rochester Police Department, we are investigating these seriously, and if we can support a charge and find sufficient evidence, we will charge people," said Assistant Strafford County Attorney Tim Sullivan.

Kirk was approached by an officer on Sunday and was arrested following a foot pursuit. He's charged with dispensing a controlled drug with death resulting.

According to court paperwork, a room where Kirk had been staying inside the Northgate Apartments unit also contained paraphernalia and other drugs.

Last month, Kirk pleaded guilty to unrelated drug possession charges.
