Man escapes blazing fire after car crashes into tree in Barrington


BARRINGTON — A 24-year-old man escaped a car crash moments before the car busted into flames on Wednesday morning.

David Allard, of Pittsfield, was driving northbound on Hall Road near Boyle Lane when he lost control of his 2003 Hyundai Sonata and hit a tree, Police Chief Bob Williams told the Union Leader.

Allard was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. His car was totaled, the UL reported.

Williams said investigators believe the crash occurred due to wet roads and bald tires.
