HAMPTON - The driver of a silver Buick with Massachusetts license plates was taken to Portsmouth Hospital after his vehicle struck a concrete barrier at the Hampton tolls on Monday afternoon.
The crash, which occurred on the northbound side, forced the closure of three lanes for about two hours at the Interstate 95 tolls.
The operator, who hasn't yet been identified, was likely experiencing a medical condition, according to the N.H. State Police.
Lane one, where the crash occurred, was already closed for the installation of cameras.
Nobody was in the toll booth behind the barrier at the time of the crash.
The crash remained under investigation Monday evening while all lanes reopened. The condition of the driver is unknown.
