Man crashes stolen car into construction sign on I-93 in NH, tries to flee scene
BEDFORD — A State Police officer was working construction detail on Interstate 93 in Bedford when he was called to an accident just north of his location.
When the officer arrived at the scene he found a 2000 blue Honda Civic, that has previously reported stolen out of Lowell, Mass., with no driver present.
After investigation the area for a short period, witnesses told the officer that the driver had been driving erratically, weaving in and out of traffic, before crashing the car into a portable electronic construction sign. After the male driver crashed the stolen car he fled into the woods on the east side of the Interstate.
With a description from witnesses, and a brief review of the area, officers were able to find and identify the suspect as Victor Rosario, 24, of Nashua, Rosario was charged with receiving stolen property, conduct after an accident and operating after suspension.
He is currently being held on cash bail at the Rockingham County House of Corrections.
