Man believed to be "Jack the Snipper" indicted on indecent exposure charges
BRENTWOOD – Jeffrey Gelinas was indicted Tuesday in Superior Court on charges of indecent exposure and lewdness.
Gelinas, who is believed to be a man coined “Jack the Snipper,” was arrested again after allegedly exposing himself to a young girl at a Barnes & Noble in May.
In 2004, Gelinas was arrested after Durham police said he broke into several off-campus apartments at UNH Durham, snipping off people’s clothing while they were sleeping.
He was never convicted in that case but did serve eight years in prison on unrelated burglary charges.
Since his release, he's been convicted of felony indecent exposure twice. He's a registered sex offender with a rap sheet dating back to 1995.
