Man arrested in Nashua after woman accuses him of strangling, sexually assaulting her

NASHUA - A man was arrested Saturday and is facing various assault charges after police said he strangled and sexually assaulted a woman he knew a week earlier.

Police said Miguel Pagan, 34 of Mass., said the charges stem from an Oct. 31 encounter in Nashua.

After an investigation by the Special Investigations Division, Pagan was charged with second degree assault – domestic violence, a class B felony; aggravated felonious sexual assault – domestic violence, a class A felony; and domestic violence, a class A misdemeanor.

Pagan could face more than 20 years in prison.

He was arraigned on Monday.
