Man arrested for trying to steal from Walmart

HUDSON - Two people fled on foot Saturday after trying to steal a big screen TV from Walmart. The two ran into a wooded area from the rear parking lot of the store.

Police eventually caught up with 53-year-old Harold Sherman after a chase on foot. He was then arrested and charged with theft by unauthorize taking and resisting arrest according to police.

Shermans bail was set at $1500 but he was unable to make bail and was moved to Valley Street Jail. He is due in court on Monday morning November 17.

Police are investigating the location of the second suspect.
