Man arrested, charged with 2nd-degree murder in November killing of Nashua man

NASHUA - A man has been arrested and charged with the murder in the November killing of Craig Guillemette.

The N.H. Attorney General's office said Thomas Smith, 32 of Lowell, Mass., is charged with second-degree murder for recklessly causing Guillemette's death "under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by repeatedly striking Guillemette in the head with his fist and/or knee, and causing him to fall down a flight of stairs."

Guillemette was assaulted the night of Winter Holiday stroll on Nov. 29, 2014, and died several days later from his injuries.

Smith is scheduled to be arraigned at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division Court in Nashua.
