Man arrested and charged in two Stratham break-ins

STRATHAM - Police have arrested a Durham man and charged him with breaking into two local homes on Friday afternoon.
Police say John Wentworth, 26, was discovered by the second homeowner and fled into some nearby woods, then got a ride into town from an unsuspecting neighbor. Both homes are located next to each other on Stratham Heights Road.
Police found Wentworth on Route 1 a short time later. He faces two counts of burglary and one charge of receiving stolen property.
He was uncooperative with Stratham police and was taken to the Rockingham County Jail for booking, Chief John Scippa said.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
