Man arrested after fleeing the scene of a car accident before being involved in a second crash
MANCHESTER — A man was arrested after leaving the scene of one motor vehicle accident and then being involved in another on Saturday.
Manchester police said they responded to an accident near the intersection of Varney Road and Mast Road at about 7:22 p.m. As they were responding they received a call from Goffstown Police alerting them of a White Chevy Corvette that had been involved in a hit and run.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the Corvette was one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Following an investigation, officers determined that the Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic on Mast Road when it struck the other vehicle involved. Police said it appeared that the impact caused the other vehicle to strike a nearby telephone pole.
The driver of the Corvette, Kevin Cullinane 54 of New Boston, attempted too flee the scene, but police said witnesses detained him until they arrived.
Cullinane was arrested and charged with conduct after an accident, operating under the influence of drugs and reckless operation. Police said his court date is pending. Goffstown police said Cullinane may face additional charges.
Police said no serious injuries were sustained in the crash.
