Man arrested after being found in stolen vehicle, police said

NASHUA - A city man has been arrested for driving a stolen vehicle, police said.

Christopher Huber, 43, of no fixed address, is charged with being a fugitive from justice and with unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, Class A misdemeanor.

Nashua police received a report of a disorderly motor vehicle traveling on Amherst Street shortly after 1 p.m. Monday.

Police found the vehicle at 274 Amherst St. and found Huber inside, police said.

A revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Wisconsin and a records check revealed Huber was wanted by the State of Wisconsin for a probation violation for theft of a motor vehicle, police said.

Huber is being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections in Manchester pending arraignment Tuesday at Nashua district court.

A fugitive from justice can be extradited back to the requesting state. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment and fines.
