Man airlifted after getting impaled during Londonderry construction accident

LONDONDERRY - A construction worker on a job site in Londonderry was badly hurt Tuesday and airlifted to a Boston Hospital.

Emergency crews say the man fell into a trench and was impaled by rebar in the groin.

Workers told NH1 News the man was moving rebar at the Market Basket Shopping Plaza worksite and fell into a hole a few feet deep.

It took a six emergency workers 20 minutes to rescue the man.
