Man accused of firing rifle into air then fleeing into Portsmouth apartment


PORTSMOUTH — Police responded after a report of a rifle being fired into the air and a shooter who fled into an apartment.

An overnight investigation led to the arrest of Adam Doyle, 24, of Portsmouth. He was charged with the unauthorized use of firearms, a misdemeanor, and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, a felony.

Doyle was released on $500 cash and $5,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on Oct. 24
