Male NH lawmaker taking heat after car spotted parked in space for expecting mothers

A New Hampshire legislator is getting called out on social media after someone spotted his car in a space marked for expectant mothers at a local mall.

UPDATE: Male NH lawmaker seen parked in expectant mother spot says he didn't see sign

Jeremy Dubois posted several pictures of the car in the parking space on Facebook. Dubois said the man getting out of the car ignored him after he confronted the man. The car's license plate is registered to Rep. Ed Butler, D-Harts Location.

"Apparently he is more important than an expecting (sic) mother," Dubois wrote in the post. "When I called Him out on it he played dumb and continued on about his way through the mall."

The comments on the post aren't too friendly toward the man driving the car.

NH1 News has tried to reach out to Butler for comment, but he has not responded to emails or phone calls. Someone who answered the phone at his home said Butler had a committee meeting at the Legislative Office Building today. He also attended a press conference held by the Democrats this morning about the gubernatorial race.

A reporter saw his car parked near the Statehouse around noon but could not find him there or in the surrounding buildings.

We'll update the story as soon as we hear back from Butler.
