Major accident in Antrim, four injured, two airlifted to hospital

ANTRIM - A multi-car accident sent four people to area hospitals and closed Route 9 near Route 31 on Saturday afternoon.

The accident required rescuers to extricate at least one victim. Two of the injured were taken by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and two were taken to Concord Hospital. The severity of their injuries was not immediately available.

Police say someone had reported the driver of a van for erratic driving just before the accident and that this vehicle was one of the five involved in the crash.
