Maine man charged with DWI after rolling his car in Rochester

ROCHESTER - A Maine man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after police say he hit a utility pole and rolled over in his car on Pickering Road around 6 p.m.

Rene Drapeau, 48, of 46 Bigelow Road, Lebanon, Maine, was not injured.

Police say he was driving north on Pickering Road when he went off the side of the road and hit the pole. Pickering Road was temporarily closed from Tebbets Road to England Road while the pole was repaired Wednesday night.

Drapeau is scheduled to appear in Rochester District Court on Nov. 30.
