Maine man arrested for failing to register as sex offender in Dover

DOVER - Police arrested a 44-year-old Kittery man for failing to register as a sex offender.

Christopher Crosby was convicted of two counts of felonious sexual assault in Strafford County in 1992. As a result of his conviction, he was required to register as a sex offender in the town where he is employed. Police learned Crosby had been working in Dover since March 16 and obtained an arrest warrant.

Crosby turned himself into police Monday. He was released on $2,500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned June 24.
