Maine drug bust results in large crack cocaine find, 3 arrests, more expected

The Associated Press

BIDDEFORD, Maine — Maine authorities say three men have been arrested in a drug investigation that's resulted in one of the state's largest seizures of crack cocaine.

Authorities say they seized two pounds of crack, a large amount of heroin, six handguns and $27,000 in cash from a drug distribution network around Biddeford and Saco. The drugs have a street value of $125,000.

Maine police say a Waterbury, Conn., man was arrested along with two men from Biddeford on charges of aggravated trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine. Bail has been set for all three, who were taken to the York County Jail after their arrests this week.

More arrests are expected.
