Lost pig found wandering streets of Manchester

MANCHESTER - A small pig was found wandering the streets of Manchester on Monday, and now officials are trying to reunite the swine nicknamed "Hamlet" with its owner.

Manchester Animal Shelter manager Lisa Caputo said the small pig was found near Wellington Road and corralled by an animal control officer. They are now hoping to identify the owner.

"I think this is the first time a pig has been here at the shelter," Caputo said. "We've had chickens, roosters, but never a pig."

Anyone who has information on the owner of Hamlet is asked to call (603) 628-3544.
