Local high school football preview capsules for Week 2

FRIDAY Pinkerton (1-0) at Nashua South (0-1) WHERE: Stellos Stadium. WHEN: 7 p.m. 2013 RESULT: Did not play. LAST WEEK’S RESULTS: Salem 35, South 14; Pinkerton 63, Alvirne 20. FYI: After dropping its first game of the season, 35-14 to Salem, Nashua South didn’t have much time to lick its wounds. The Panthers don’t have a cupcake to enjoy Friday at Stellos Stadium, they have the high-powered Pinkerton Academy Astros. South’s defense gave up nearly 400 yards of total offense to Salem, almost 300 of it on the ground. In Pinkerton’s 63-20 win over Alvirne, the Astros, led by T.J. Urbanik (five carries, 112 yards, two TDs), rushed for 395 yards as a team. Hollis Brookline (0-1) at Milford (1-0) WHERE: Milford High School. WHEN: 7 p.m. 2013 RESULT: Milford, 35-8. LAST WEEK’S RESULTS: Milford 35, John Stark 14; Windham 56, HB 0. FYI: The Spartans fell behind 7-0 against John Stark, but Max Urda and Jahir Romney helped rally Milford.
