LIVE BLOG: More polling problems reported across NH on Election Day

NH1.com

As Granite Staters arrive at the polls to cast their votes, problems are starting to arise across the state.

MANCHESTER

Manchester's Office of the City Clerk said that four calls have been made so far of possible voting fraud.

The Secretary of State has been there all morning and said that a ballot was jammed in the machine that the ballots go into.

Ballots were being collected by hand and placed in a box. This has given some voters uneasy feelings, but this, in fact, is legal. This is so moderators are able to count the votes in the instance where the machine breaks.

DERRY

A man has filed an official complaint after a man was allowed to vote in Derry wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.

A new law in New Hampshire prohibits anyone from wearing articles of clothing "intended to influence the action of the voter within the building" at a polling place.

CONCORD

There have been reports of the ballot machine malfunctioning at ward 3 at the Beaver Meadow Golf Course.

A voter told NH1 moderators were taking ballots of putting them in separate ballot boxes.

Concord's Office of the City Clerk said that there have not been any issues at an wards in Concord.

The City Clerk did remark that this year the ballot machines are larger than normal, which is causing a delay in process.

Normally, the ballot boxes are 14" long and this year they are 18" long, according to the City Clerk.

NORTHFIELD

A woman reported to NH1 that a daycare's mock voting results were presented on a tri-fold board with pictures of the candidates at the front door before the line to vote at Northfield Pines Community Center. The results showed Hillary Clinton with 15 votes, Donald Trump with 8 votes, and the green party with 1 vote.

NH1 contacted Northfield's Office of the City Clerk, which was closed for election day, to see if this was a voter violation.

The Secretary of State's Office said that this board was allowed since it was outside of the room where people actually vote.

DURHAM

A voter reported to the Attorney General's office that the paper below was located on the same day registration table inside the Oyster River High School polling place.

Durham's Office of the City Clerk said that they were not made aware of this violation, and would contact the moderator to make sure no signs like the one above were placed inside the polling place.

ROCHESTER

A man told NH1 that Ward 5 was running out of pens for ballots and only had two pens left for voters.

Rochester's Office of the City Clerk said that there were plenty of pens at the Ward 5 polling place.

Send us your ballot issues as they occur and any photos or videos you'd like to share and NH1 News will update! Send them to news@nh1.com or leave them on our Facebook page.
