LISTEN: Police dispatch call details man held up in car with hypodermic needle in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Police got a report of a man getting held up with a hypodermic needle in his car.

A man called the police and told them that a homeless-looking man jumped into the car and told him to drive - telling him that if he didn't, he would stab him with the needle.

The dispatcher said the driver later jumped out of his car and so did the suspect with the needle. The suspect fled between buildings.

The report came from 270 Auburn St., and a perimeter was set up around Chestnut and Auburn streets.

The suspected was described as a white man in his 20's. He was wearing a long sleeve brown shirt with dark shorts and a brown hat. He was carrying a backpack.
