Library officials say renovations to Manchester's West Branch progressing nicely

MANCHESTER -West Branch City Library's renovation is coming along nicely.

Library Director Denise M. Van Zanten said in a letter to patrons that renovations have made great progress.

In the letter, Van Zanten said that contractors are working "as fast as they can to fit an 1870s building with modern fire alarm and sprinkler systems," and much more.

Van Zanten also said library officials are "excited to be providing a totally renovated branch library to our community."

The library has planned to have an open house during National Library Week, April 10-16, so that the community go down and check-out the completions of the renovation.

"Our goal is to have the building ready for full operations by the end of April if not before," Van Zanten said.
