Lebanon police search for suspect who tried to steal merchandise from Wal-Mart

LEBANON — Police are searching for a man who tried to steal several hundred dollars worth of merchandise from a Wal-Mart before being confronted by loss prevention personnel.

Loss prevention personnel was able to recover most of the merchandise that the man was trying to steal Thursday at about 7:20 p.m.

Officers, along with a K-9, attempted to locate the suspect, who was last seen running behind Wendy's on 12A, but were unable to police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall, with brown hair and some facial hair. He is believed to be in his twenties to early thirties and was wearing tan pants and a gray and black sweatshirt during the incident.
