Lebanon police K-9 to receive new bullet, stab-proof vest after donation from nonprofit

A K-9 officer with the Lebanon Police Department will receive a new bullet and stab-proof vest, thanks to a donation from a non-profit that specializes in supporting K-9s throughout the United States.

An anonymous donor sponsored the vest through Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. to get the new piece of protection to Briggs, a K-9 who’s been with the department since 2013.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c charity located in East Taunton, Mass. whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies across America, police said.
