Large fight leads to three arrests in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Police arrested three men, including one with a gun, after a large fight broke out in front of 226 Laurel St. Saturday night.

Police responded and several men took off running. Officers Kevin O'Meara and Joseph Tucker gave chase and caught two men. Tyvon Watson, 19, of Manchester, and Patrick Simms, 20, of Hooksett, were charged with resisting arrest/detention and released on personal recognizance.

A third man was located sitting on a porch nearby and identified as Josiah Brown, 18, of Auburn. Police said Brown appeared to be intoxicated and was only wearing one flip-flop while holding on to a backpack. An officer had spotted a matching flip-flop between the scene of the fight and where Brown was sitting.

Brown’s clothing matched the description of the man allegedly waiving a handgun during the altercation. Brown was charged with resisting arrest/detention and carrying without a license. A handgun was located in his backpack during a search incident to arrest. He was released on personal recognizance.
