Laconia woman wakes up to find intruders in her home
LACONIA - Two men have been charged with burglary after a woman was awakened early Sunday by intruders in her home on Emerald Drive.
Police say they got a call just after 1 a.m. from the woman reporting a buglary in progress. When one of the intruders entered her bedroom and saw her, they both fled.
Police say they quickly located one of the men, Kevin Gobeil, 20, who was listed as homeless, in a wooded area less than 300 feet from the woman's house and used a police K9 to locate the second man, Michael Regan, 31, of 6 Arch St. in Laconia, in the same area.
Regan was charged with burglary, breach of bail and had an outstanding warrant. Gobeil was charged with burglary and breach of bail, having previously been arrested on an unrelated burglary charge.
Regan and Gobeil are being held at the Belknap County jail and are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
