Laconia woman on Belknap's Most Wanted list


LACONIA - A woman who failed to appear in court on theft charges has made her way to Belknap County Sheriff Department's Most Wanted list.

According to The Citizen, Megan McPhee O'Connell, 37, of Laconia, was indicted in June for attempted theft by unauthorized taking. In April, she allegedly put medical supplies from Lakes Region General Hospital in a bag and tried to leave the building . O'Connell did not appear in court earlier this month to answer the charges. A bench warrant for her arrest was issued.

In June, she was arrested by Laconia Police for allegedly shoplifting at the Family Dollar Store. She was also arrested in February on two counts of shoplifting, breach of bail and possession of methamphetamine.

O'Connell was convicted of armed robbery in January 2005 and misdemeanor theft in June 2011.
