Laconia police used K9 to locate burglary suspect inside Pleasant Street home

LACONIA - A resident on Pleasant Street called police Friday evening, afraid there was a burglar in the house -- leading to the discovery of a suspect on the second floor with help from a police K9.

Police say they got a call from a resident at 252 Pleasant St. around 7:35 p.m. on Friday, reporting a possible burglary in progress. Two officers and the K9 Titan conducted a search and found Michael D. Weeks, 34, in a room on the second floor.

Weeks, who police identified as a transient, was charged with burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Fourth Circuit District Division Laconia Court.
