Laconia, NH, police warn of fraud suspect

LACONIA - Police are alerting jewelry and hardware stores and pawn shop to a man trying to resell items such as landscape equipment, which were bought using a closed bank account.

Police are seeking the whereabouts of 44-year-old Shawn Cochrane of Laconia. He's accused of using his New Hampshire non-driver ID in the transactions, which lists his address as the state prison.

Police said Cochrane has an active felony arrest warrant from Laconia and is on parole from a previous conviction. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
