Laconia drug investigation leads to 2 arrests; heroin, meth, pills, 4 hatchets, machete seized

LACONIA - A 6-month drug investigation led to two arrests and the seizure of drugs and weapons on Thursday.

Police obtained warrants and arrested Nathan Barros and Cirsten McKim, both of Laconia. A resulting search of a Pine Street apartment led the police to find substances believed to be heroin, meth and illegally possessed prescription pills.

Four hatchets and a machete were found at different locations throughout the residence and a realistic looking BB pistol was also seized.

Barros and McKim were both charged with one count each of possession with intent to distribute.

They were arraigned on Friday.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Laconia Police Department or the Greater Laconia Crime Line, 524-1717.
