Laconia arrest 3, charged in $15,000 June vandalism spree
LACONIA - Police have arrested three suspects accused in an overnight vandalism spree that caused more than $15,000 worth of damage to property belonging to 20 different victims.
Police say they've been investigating since the vandalism occurred the night of June 10 through the early morning hours of June 11. According to the Laconia Citizen, most of the damage was to car windows shattered by golf balls or rocks propelled by slingshot.
Police say they received a dozen complaints throughout the city. A suspect vehicle was recorded on home surveillance and police sought tips from the public to help identify the vehicle and individuals involved.
One of those tips did lead them to the suspects arrested Friday, police said.
Brandon Alger, 19, of 55 Jefferson St., Laconia and Cilem Soboleski, 19, 343 Lakeshore Road, Gilford have been charged with conspiracy to commit vandalism. The third suspect is a 16-year-old.
Alger and Soboleski have been released on personal recognizance bail, and the juvenile was released to a parent.
