Kingston man to spend 60 months in jail for possessing "hundreds" of images of child pornography
KINGSTON — Gene Mondalto, 37, will spend 60 months in a specialized federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing "hundreds" of stills and videos of child pornography, according to seacoastonline.com.
Mondalto was arrested on August 5, 2015 after a search warrant was executed. Police then found these images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
He confessed that he knew the images were on his laptop and pleaded guilty as part of a deal.
Mondalto will spend his term at the Federal Medical Center, of Devens, a sepcialized prison for men in Massachusetts.
The case was investigated by the New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force in conjunction Homeland Security Investigations Manchester, and the Kingston, Hampton, Allenstown, Litchfield, Manchester, Portsmouth, Rye and Salem Police Departments. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nick Abramson.
