Kellog recalls 10,000 cases of Eggo waffles after concerns of Listeria

Leggo your Eggos, because Kellog is recalling 10,000 cases of them.

The company reports that its Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes in states including New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and unstable or elderly people. Symptoms can include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and potential miscarriages or stillbirths among women.

However, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the waffles yet.

The company identified the possibility of infection during a routine test.

Refunds are available for people who contact the company. No other Eggo products are at risk.
