Keene woman responsible for fatal hit-and-run approved for parole

KEENE — Tracy A. Burroughs, 43 of Keene - convicted in the summer of 2014 of killing a town restaurant owner in a hit-and-run crash - has been granted parole, according to the Keene Sentinel.

The earliest date that Burroughs could be released is July 2.

Burroughs appeared Thursday before the New Hampshire Adult Parole Board and the board made the decision to approve her parole that same day.

The crash that killed Keon E. Ioannou, 48, of Keene, happened on Nov. 2, 2013. Ioannou was riding his bicycle on Marlborough Road, according to police.

Burroughs' release is contingent on if the board approves her plan for parole, the paper states.
