Keene woman arrested, charged with helping accused murderer evade capture
KEENE - Police arrested 30-year-old Kristin Walsh after they say she helped a wanted Keene man evade capture on murder charges.
Walsh was arrested Tuesday at her residence and taken into custody without incident. She is charged with felony counts of hindering apprehension and tampering with witnesses.
Walsh was already on probation for conviction of a felony riot so she was held without bail.
She will be arraigned Wednesday at the 8th Circuit Keene Court.
30-year-old Gregory Allen Smith is wanted for second-degree murder of a Springfield, Vt., man. Police believe Smith shot 37-year-old Wesley John Wing, a father of four, over the weekend. Wing died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover.
Smith is believed to be driving a stolen white 2004 Buick Rendezvos with N.H. plates - 336-4095.
