Keene to hold candlelight vigil for Orlando victims at outside UU Church
KEENE - A candlelight vigil and rally for the victims of the Orlando massacre is planned Thursday evening outside the Keene Unitarian Universalist Church starting at 6 p.m.
“We need to stand together as people of faith, people who doubt that faith is enough, stand and grieve the loss of these beautiful people, our brothers and sisters,” said Rev. Michael F. Hall. “We need to stand together against the violence and hatred that is poisoning our society and show that love is the greater power.”
Participants are asked to bring a candle and meet on the church's lawn at 69 Washington Street. In the case of bad weather, the vigil will move inside to the the sanctuary.
