Keene police catch Campus Convenience robber after he was acting suspicious

KEENE — Keene police identified the suspect in the strong arm robbery of Campus Convenience after he was reported for acting suspicious in Keene.

Justin Thrasher, 23, homeless, was reported behind the Spaulding Gym on Monday at about 9:50 p.m.

Thrasher allegedly robbed the convenience store and assaulted the store clerk, leaving him with minor lacerations on his face on Saturday.

Police identified Thrasher as the suspect that they had been actively looking for since the robbery. Thrasher was arrested without incident and ultimately held without bail to await arraignment in Cheshire County Superior Court.

The case remains under investigation by Detective Steve LaMears. Anyone who was a witness to the incident or has further information is encouraged to call the Keene Police Department at 603-357-9820
