KEENE — State police say a Massachusetts man is in custody after failing to pull over for an alleged traffic violation and crashing his car off an embankment near the Keene State College athletic fields.

Police say 26-year-old Gregory Scott of Springfield, Massachusetts is being held on $100,000 bail.

Police tried to stop his car on Route 10 in Swanzey Friday morning, but Scott continued into Keene. Police say he drove off an embankment on Route 101 and collided with cars in the parking lot of Norm's Ski and Bike Shop before fleeing into the woods. A state police K9, Storm, tracked and located Scott in the woods.

He faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.

Arraignment is set for Monday in Keene District Court. It was not immediately known if he has a lawyer
