Keene police arrest 2 after embezzlement investigations
KEENE - The Keene police department arrested two women on Tuesday following separate investigations of embezzlement by their places of business.
Gale Saleski of Stoneham, Mass., was arrested on one felony count of forgery associated with an ongoing investigation of embezzlement at her workplace, the Colonial Theatre in Keene.
Saleski is accused of attempting to defraud her company for $2,500.
According to her LinkedIn page, Saleski has been the Director of Finance and Administration at The Colonial Theatre since 1997.
Saleski was arraigned before the 8th Circuit District Court in Keene where her bail was set at $2,500. A probable cause hearing will be held on Dec. 24.
Additionally, Merrilyn Patch of Keene was arrested by Keene police on Tuesday for one count of felony theft from the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Growers Assocation based in Concord.
Patch had formerly served as the assocation's treasurer. She will be arraigned Wednesday, Dec. 17 under the 8th Circuit District Court in Keene.
Patch is accused of attempting to steal in excess of $1,500 from the assocation.
Both cases remain under investigation.
